The Danieli Corus sublance system is designed and built to be the most robust and reliable tool in the steelmaking process. Bath temperatures, carbon, and oxygen content as well as bath level can be measured and steel samples can be taken from an upright converter without the interrupting the blow.
The sublance system is characterized by simplicity of design: only few and only straightforward movements are required for the insertion and recovery of the probe. The automatic probe charger, probe remover and hood equipment are mainly pneumatically operated for maximum reliability and minimum maintenance. There are no hydraulic systems that are difficult to maintain.
