On Monday, 25^th November 2019, the blow–in of Dung Quat Blast Furnace No. 2 was successfully completed by Hoa Phat Steel, Vietnam. In the night of 26^th November, the first hot metal was tapped from the furnace and during the coming period, the process will be ramped up to its design value.

Blast Furnace No. 2 is the second of four greenfield Danieli Corus Blast Furnaces that are being built under a contract signed in Summer of 2017. Blast Furnace No. 1 has been in operation since 29^th June 2019.
